Green Drinks is back! After a long pause, we're relaunching Green Drinks Dublin with a fun, relaxed, and inclusive new format designed to spark ideas, connections, and conversations around all things green.

Join us for our August Green Drinks Dublin event, where we’ll be joined by Oisín O’Neill, Director of the Gaelic Woodland Project, for a thought-provoking talk:
🌿Invasive Species and Policy Blind Spots: The case of Cherry Laurel
Despite growing public concern and scientific evidence, some of Ireland’s most aggressive invasive species — like cherry laurel — remain absent from official regulation. This talk explores the troubling disconnect between ecological reality and government policy, where inaction suggests that short-term economic convenience is still being prioritised over long-term biodiversity protection. Drawing on the speakers' experience with the Gaelic Woodland Project, a registered Irish charity, this session will highlight how some plants widely recognised as harmful continue to be overlooked, and why meaningful change will only come when our laws reflect what is already clear on the ground.
As always, we’ll follow the talk with questions and then a relaxed social session over drinks—expect good chats, new connections, and plenty of green inspiration.
