Architecture is just starting to take on its role as climate healer by transforming buildings from massive carbon emitters into effective carbon sponges. The technology already exists, and gets better every day; building with plants, wood and emissions we retrieved from the air, bring the carbon home in buildings made from the sky.

Bruce King will share how our building materials choices can positively impact our climate. He has served as a Green/Clean Tech adviser to numerous startups and other organizations, and is Founder and Director of Ecological Building Network (EBNet), a nonprofit coalition of engineers, builders, and architects developing and disseminating best technologies for the built environment. He has studied both historic and innovative building systems from all over the globe, and has direct experience in engineering and building with just about every ’alternative' system out there - as well as all the mainstream systems.

He will be joined by the New Energy Works and Pioneer Millworks teams for this session.

Proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to the Borneo Project to fight deforestation in Indonesia.
