Long Trail Section Hike: Camel's Hump via Bamforth Ridge

This is a strenuous hike starting from the Duxbury window trail parking lot off of Duxbury Road. Carpooling will be available from the Richmond Park and Ride with a departure at 8:45 AM. We will follow the Long Trail up Bamforth Ridge to the top of Camel's Hump. If at least two volunteers are willing to arrange cars at the Camel's Hump Road parking lot in Huntington we can do a proper section hike. This would cut down on mileage and elevation (~9 vs 13.6 mi, and 4000' vs 4500'). We would take Bamforth Ridge from the Duxbury Window Parking lot to the summit and descend via the Long Trail and take the Forest City trail to the vehicles waiting at the other end. Please contact me if you are willing to arrange cars for pickup at the other end of the trail. Please leave your canine friends at home. Difficult hike.
