Long Trail Section Hike: Ethan Allen, Ira Allen, and Burnt Rock

This is a long moderate to difficult hike starting from the Forest City Trail parking lot off Camel's Hump Road in Huntington. If at least two volunteers are willing to arrange cars at the Hedgehog Brook Trail parking lot we can do a proper section hike. This would cut down on mileage and elevation (~7.5 vs 15 mi, and 2300' vs 5150'). We will follow the Forest City Trail to the Long Trail. We would take the Long Trail to the summits of Mount Ethan Allen, Mount Ira Allen, and finally Burnt Rock. We would descend via the Hedgehog Brook Trail to the vehicles waiting at the parking lot. Please contact me if you are willing to arrange cars for pickup at the other end of the trail. Please leave your canine friends at home. Moderate to difficult hike.
