Mansfield Full Moon hike. **Anyone who wants to participate MUST email me at TNuovo@aol.com.** Due to the difficulty of the hike you must be comfortable with hiking at night and in the snow. We will start at the winter parking area and hike up the mountain road to Underhill State Park. From there we will hike up Halfway House to the top of Mansfield. We plan to reach the top by 4:30 p.m. which is both the time for the sunset and moon rise. We will then hike across the top of Mansfield to the Chin and hike down Sunset Ridge. Participants must be comfortable with hiking in the snow, using both snowshoes and micro spikes, and hiking in the dark. Trip is weather dependent since we will not do this hike if the weather is bad or winds are too high. Everyone who goes on this hike should bring both snowshoes and micro spikes, plenty of warm clothing and a good sense of adventure. Parking could be an issue, so we will need to coordinate for parking. Difficult Hike/snowshoe. Total distances is approximately 7 miles with about 3000 feet of elevation gain. Parking may be limited, so we will need to coordinate. Tom Nuovo, tnuovo@aol.com.
