The Green Software – the Netherlands community is for anyone with a passion for green software development and supports the Green Software Foundation’s (GSF) mission to create a trusted ecosystem of people, standards, tooling and best practices for green software. We envision a thriving Dutch Green Software Community empowered to take charge of its future.

Talk 1: Green Coding in Action: A Hands-On Experience by Wilco Burggraaf
Join Wilco for an exciting session with live demos on how to start green coding. Learn practical techniques to make your code eco-friendly and sustainable. Bring your mobile phone and you might get a chance to help out during the live demo! This is a unique opportunity to see green coding in action and understand how it works in practice. Don't miss it!

Talk 2: Your frontend is ☠️ ⚠️ Let's measure its impact with CO2.js by Ko Turk
Join Ko as he addresses the urgent issue of climate change and the need for action. He will explore why it's crucial to start by measuring the impact of the code we create, beginning with the front-end. Ko will introduce the Green Web Foundation's open-source JavaScript library, CO2.js, which allows developers to calculate the CO2 emissions based on the number of bytes. This session is a great opportunity to understand the environmental footprint of your code and take steps towards making it more sustainable.
