We are excited to invite you to a new live event of the Dutch Green Software community!

The Green Software – the Netherlands community is for anyone with a passion for green software development and supports the Green Software Foundation’s (GSF) mission to create a trusted ecosystem of people, standards, tooling, and best practices for green software. We envision a thriving Dutch Green Software Community empowered to take charge of its future.

Sustainability can often feel overwhelming and lead to inaction. In this talk, you'll learn two key things: how to assess your energy footprint and what practical steps IT personnel can take. Explore topics such as energy-saving automation, playing responsibly with AI, and integrating Green Software Development into your next PI planning session.

Jan-Hendrik is an all-round Developer, Software Architect, and Trainer with a passion for sustainability. Through his company, Yoink, he demonstrates how sustainability can be integrated into businesses while inspiring others to do the same.

As software becomes more powerful, it often grows more bloated, consuming excessive resources at the expense of sustainability. In this lightning talk, Klaas will explore the importance of scaling down software for green computing. Drawing from his experiences and blogs, he makes the case for building efficient systems that don't compromise sustainability.

Klaas is the founder of Bugsink, a self-hosted error tracking tool, with over 20 years of Python expertise. He has contributed to notable projects like Django, Celery, and Pip, and has extensive experience in code quality and CI/CD practices.
