The Monthly Fresk Jam
The Fresk Jam is a spin-off of our classic Culture Jam. It is a monthly get together where different workshops around sustainability and climate change are held simultaneously.
These events by Apocapoc BCN are hosted in our Nest City Lab.
We strongly believe that to be efficient and healthy at dealing with the current environmental and social crisis, we need to equip ourselves with tools and knowledge that help us to be empowered and to cultivate our "active hope". The Culture Jam series aims to do just that.

🔹Living Soil with Evelyn (ENG)

In this workshop we invite you to take a journey into soil. Soil has long been invisible and reduced to the simple use of support for our crops and buildings. It is only very recently that the fundamental role of soil in the balance of ecosystems has been highlighted. It is the living interface between plants and minerals, home to a quarter of known biodiversity and harbors life which is responsible for multiple vital functions, at the origin of the development of life as we know it today. Ready to take a dive?
This 3-hour workshop aims to develop a common understanding of how soils work and the stakes involved in preserving them. It is divided into three parts where you will:
- Discover soils’ richness by exploring their functioning.
- Identify the most common farming practices and their impact on soils and the environment
- Reflect on the actions to be taken to preserve them, from four complementary points of view (farmers, politicians, businesses, citizens)

🔹 Circular economy workshop with Aleksandra (ENG)
Based on scientific data and inspired by the Climate Fresk, this engaging 3-hour workshop helps you grasp the limits of our linear economy (take-make-waste) and explore the opportunities of the circular economy—a model that designs out waste and keeps resources in use for longer.
Through teamwork and discussion, you will connect the dots between environmental issues, business models, and everyday life, leaving with concrete actions to reduce your footprint.

🔹 El Mural del Clima (ESP/ENG) with Max & tbc

El Mural del Clima es un juego colaborativo para concienciarnos sobre el cambio climático y encontrar soluciones colectivas para afrontar los retos. La propuesta es en castellano o en ingles.
En solo 3 horas, el taller colaborativo del Mural del Clima enseña a sus participantes la ciencia fundamental detrás del cambio climático y capacita la reflexión para tomar medidas.
