Climate Conversation – What can we, citizens do?

This September, millions of us will walk out of our workplaces and homes to join young climate strikers on the streets and demand an end to the age of fossil fuels.
Budapest will be no exception, yet, instead of going into the streets, Impact Hub Budapest and SocialFokus would like to invite you to come and talk about the climate emergency among peers and find common actions together.

The Amazon is on fire for weeks now. The lungs of the Earth are being destroyed and have irreversible effects on all of our lives.
What is our responsibility in this situation? What can we do as caring citizens of the World that would like to provide a regenerative life for their children and beyond? What everyday behaviours can we change in our lives to save our own future?

We will be exploring these questions together while exchanging thoughts, ideas and feelings in a respectful and meaningful way.

The event will be opened by Flora Hevesi, communication advisor of Greenpeace Magyarország. We will be in conversations with the support of participatory methods (Art of Hosting) that help everyone hear each other’s voice in the room. We will be reflecting on questions in a World Cafe format.
