We are meeting at Lori & Joe’s house so please feel free to bring food to share.

This meeting serves 2 purposes. Last year we had a banned book meeting to create an awareness of libraries being forced to remove books from both physical and virtual shelves. It was a huge success so we’re bringing it back this year. Since February is Black History Month, let’s focus our book choices on this topic. My hope is we can all learn something new and promote awareness, understanding, and continued progress towards equality and justice.

Each person will identify a banned book to read (reference links below for ideas), present a summary, reason the book was banned and your opinion on the ban to the group.
