Open bouts at Greensboro Fencing Academy

Greensboro Fencers Club will meet up to socialize and fence, and GFA is the only facility in the Piedmont Triad area to offer Open Bout times for fencers to get their stab on.

Thursdays they have Epee class, but Open Bout is for all weapons (Foil & Sabre, too). For our folks that have never tried fencing, check out GFA’s Intro to Fencing class on Saturdays. That will get you enough knowledge to join our Meetups and learn while you fence.

GFA charges $15 for an Open Bout DayPass, but GFC gets a $5 discount. So, come with a little cash to cover the facility fee.

Bring your fencing gear, wear appropriate athletic clothing & shoes, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated! If you don’t have gear, GFA rent everything you need for $5.
