Civic Art Lab 2021: Regenerative Futures
November 5-7, 2021

Full schedule: https://greenspacenyc.org

Days 1 and 3 of the lab will be held virtually, and day 2 will be held in-person.

Civic Art Lab: Regenerative Futures considers themes related to rebuilding, restoring, and reimagining our communities. We have the opportunity to engage to our communities with regenerative practices as we grapple with the lingering effects of the pandemic. Work, school, social life, and community have all been reinterpreted in new ways we have never considered, and in ways that suggest how we might meet global social and environmental goals that previously felt unattainable.

Civic Art Lab is hosted by GreenspaceNYC. GREENSPACENYC is a non-profit collaborative that develops and curates free educational programming, hands-on workshops, and public design projects that encourage dialogue, enliven public spaces, and promote the future of a more equitable and sustainable city.

Our public programs take place in a range of spaces from public parks to to community spaces to vacant storefronts. Each project is created in collaboration with volunteer–artists, designers, educators, activists, and the general public. The organization is fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas, giving it its status as a 501(c)(3) and receives material sponsorship from Material for the Arts (NYC Office of Cultural Affairs).
