## January 21st Dance Event

We'll continue playing with "nightclub-lite"... The term Nightclub is a big umbrella that covers many dance styles including the easier social varieties plus the Country and Ballroom versions... It plays very well with music of today thru yesterday while either traveling the dancefloor or taking little steps in the middle... It's fun, easy and forgiving... Perfect for social dance...

Most dance styles use quick/quick, slow and triple/step rhythms as their base and thru the years, I've referred to my own fusion of beginner ballroom steps as "ballroom-lite"... In our group lessons this month we're playing with "nightclub-lite", a flexible dance style which is based on a repeating slow, quick/quick pattern... February is the month of lovers, so we'll add "slow/ands" to our rhythm choices and play with "tango-lite"... I use this dance style often because I can dance it with newbies in songs where there's that "touch of Tango"...

$10 entry per person (cash preferred please) most c/card accepted
$5 for 60+ folks (let us know that you qualify)
$5 p/person : Any group up to 4 or more... The goal is to let people know that this dance venue is here to be enjoyed by all...
