Randomonium at Bridgeway Station on Friday, March 13th!
Details
Join us on Friday, March 13th at the medieval-themed Bridgeway Station in Simpsonville at 7:30 pm for a night of dancing!
Randomonium will be performing at the outdoor stage. They are my favorite band in the region, playing a high-energy selection of classic rock songs. The band is starting their St. Paddy's Day partying at City Market at Bridgeway Station. Including JP the Piper, this is going to be one heck of a concert!!!
This meetup is not focused on a certain style of dance. Nor are you required to be a skilled dancer. Beginners are welcome. We welcome any style, such as swing, free style, waltz, line, ballroom, and salsa. Note, however, that we cannot guarantee that you will find others who engage in your preferred style of dancing (we don’t object if you’d like to instruct others in your styles of dance).
While it is customary for men to ask women to dance, this meetup urges women to break with custom and ask men to dance as well.
Note that you are not required to dance. Watching others dance is fine, as is simply listening to the band, but we do encourage you to get on the dance floor.
We encourage attendees to enjoy themselves. To dance as if no one is watching.
We urge you not to be shy!
Let’s celebrate the joy of “collective effervescence.”
No judgment, no pressure—just good music, great people, and a whole lot of fun. Come solo or bring a friend or two. Just don’t forget your dancing shoes and a desire to have fun.
Recommended but not required: bringing a folding chair or blanket, water or other beverage. Food and drink are available at venues near the stage.
To find me and our group, I have dark hair and will be wearing a black shirt. White letters on the front of my shirt say "Wanna Dance?" and on the back it says "Ask Me to Dance." I will be sitting or standing near the stage.
