April 22nd is both Celebrate Trails Day and Earth Day. Let's celebrate both events with a family-friendly bike ride along the American Tobacco Trail. It's a 15-mile round trip, relaxed pace, no hills, "no-drop" ride, featuring a healthy dose of tree canopy and wildlife. There might be sightings of turtles, deer, hawks, guinea fowl, etc. Here is the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42471269 Restrooms are available on the trail. The rail-trail has a stone dust surface which is comfortable for most bikes. Bring your bike and helmet. Be sure to fill your water bottle at the ride start. Be ready to call out "On your left" as we pass other people along the way.
