Meditation Circle at the park
Details
No experience is necessary. All are welcome, whether it is your first time meditating, you have been teaching meditation to others for decades, or somewhere in between.
DIRECTIONS
We are meeting in the lawn near the stone monoliths in the Montgomery Pinetum Park. The address says the Garden Education Center only because that automatically came up when entering the address, but this event is NOT inside the Garden Education Center nor affiliated with it. Also note the GEC was renamed the Greenwich Botanical Center which may help you use the signage to find your way to the correct parking lot. You will pass the paved walking path on your left as you drive down and around toward the parking lot, and you will have to walk back up to that path, but as soon as you get to the start of that paved path where the park map is located, the stone monoliths will be in direct view.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The surrounding forested parkland makes a perfect backdrop for a relaxing experience connecting with nature and fellow journeying souls.
Our host for this week, Mark, is an intuitive, energy healer, and spiritual guide. He has been leading group meditations for this Meetup group and at the Wainwright House for several years. Mark or another member of the group will facilitate a guided meditation with a short discussion afterwards.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring a folding chair, yoga mat, or cushion to sit on the lawn. You may want to bring a sun hat and bottle of water if it is a hot day.
There is no charge for this event, but donations to cover the Meetup fee, or to purchase drums for our drum circles, are gratefully accepted.
To make a donation please send Venmo to @Marija-Mikolajczak.
Thank you!
