Cinco de Mayo
Details
Friends, it’s time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo together at El Matador Mexican Restaurant! Join us for an evening of incredible food, festive vibes, and great company as we gather to honor this meaningful holiday.
A little history: Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. While it’s often mistaken for Mexico’s Independence Day (which is actually celebrated in September), Cinco de Mayo represents resilience, courage, and national pride. Today, it’s celebrated in Puebla and across the United States as a joyful recognition of Mexican heritage and culture.
And how better to celebrate than together?
We’re talking:
- Authentic Mexican favorites — tacos, enchiladas, sizzling fajitas, and house specialties
- Fresh, festive margaritas
- Chips, salsa, queso, and all the delicious extras
- Laughter, conversation, and the kind of easy camaraderie that makes our group so special
This is going to be a lively, colorful, delicious night — and it won’t be the same without you. Wear something festive if you’d like, bring your appetite, and come ready to celebrate culture, community, and connection.
Let’s make this a Cinco de Mayo to remember! ✨
