"Hector Berlioz was a French composer , conductor , music critic and writer.

The museum is Housed in the birthplace of the great romantic musician in La Côte Saint-André, the Hector Berlioz Museum evokes his life and work.

Born on December 11, 1803, Hector Berlioz received an education from his father marked by the ideas of an enlightened 18th century doctor. Within these walls, he discovered music and composed his first romances at a very young age. [...]

Period furniture, original scores, correspondence and musical instruments that belonged to Hector Berlioz, paintings and engravings adorn the rooms of the house, which have retained their original decor. Regular temporary exhibitions enrich the cultural program, while the auditorium offers the composer's works to listen to."

The museum is approximately 50% of the distance to Lyon; no direct bus or train, but we can make a day-trip out of it (weather permitting)

We will take a small regional (TER) Train, then a bicycle ride.

NOTE: The event is officially over after we board the return A tram!

However, if anyone wants to take a coffee or bubble tea after the event, I won't object proposal!

🦅/🐓 : We speak English/French in all our events. Don't worry if your English/French is not that good. Nos évènements sont en Anglais et Français. Ne soyez pas inquiets si votre niveau d'anglais n'est pas "suffisant".

== ❔ What do you need ❔ ==

• Jacket/Hoodie to wear inside the caves (Temperature will be -10 to -15degC from outside, and very damp/humid)
• Money/Les Argent ( for admittance fee to caves, the Tram , etc. )
• 🥾 Hiking shoes (or any good/non slippery shoes)
• Hiking poles (only if you want; optional)
• 🧃 Water (1.5L - 3L depending on your fitness)
• 🍫 Some snacks + 🥗 Food for a lunch / picnic
• 🌬 Clothes for hiking between 28degC and 30degC
• Something to dry yourself off (a towel) if you decide to jump into the water to cool off
• 🌞 Sun-cream (creme Solaire) / 😎 Sun glasses (lunettes de Solaire) / Chapeau (Hat)
• 😁 Your smile / 😊 Happiness
• Bug Spray / Any other safety gear you need (Prescriptions or EpiPen)

• 😍 Hiking is about enjoying and respecting mother nature!
• Don't throw/dump any garbage 🚮 in nature, not even fruit pelt: 🍌(2 years for decomposition), 🍊 (6 months); egg shell 🥚 (3 years)
• Don't be (too) late 😇 We have a large 30 minute queue window. If you arrive after we depart, call my mobile and we'll find a way for you to connect with us down the road.
• If you finally can't join us, please unsubscribe from the event or at least write a message here to announce your cancellation. 💜 That way, we won't wait for you 💜
