New/Never Before Visited Museum!

An Arts and History museum located in the petite village of VILLARD-BONNOT, just east of Grenoble, located within the family home (Mansion) of industrialist Aristide Bergès, who was responsible for bringing some of the first industry to the region.

This museum has the Nickname "White of Coal Museum" because it contains art, engineering, and history.

"In the heart of the Alps, at the foot of the Belledonne massif in Villard-Bonnot, the museum evokes the birth of hydroelectricity and pays tribute to the men who participated in this adventure, the source of major technological and economic development. Installed in the residence marked by the Art Nouveau of the innovative engineer Aristide Bergès, this exceptional place of memory subtly mixes arts and industry."

[ RENNOVATION: The museum will be closed from March 31 to May 2, 2025 (inclusive) to prepare to welcome you in better conditions.
The top floor of the museum will not be accessible to people with reduced mobility until the work is completed (mid-June).]

-> 12:05 Board Return Bus [ C9 ] to Grenoble
-> 12:45 Arrive back in Grenoble
