Grey Havens Philosophy Discussion Group

Join Grey Havens Philosophy as we get back to our roots with The Grey Havens Group: Lord of the Rings discussion group! We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses philosophy and pop culture to bring people and communities together. But we started out as a Lord of the Rings book club. We're hoping to get back to some of that early energy with our first LOTR-themed group in many meetings. So join us!

We'll be meeting at 7:00 p.m. at 303 Atwood St., Longmont, Colorado (downstairs in the Habitat for Humanity building. No admittance except on party business). Some limited food (pizza, chips, sparkling water) will be provided.

For our kickoff meeting, things will be a bit freeform. We'll get to know each other, read some of our favorite passages, and decide which direction to head in future meetings. A Council of Elrond, if you will. Or an Entmoot, if you rather.

Whether you’re a longtime philosophy enthusiast or new to our discussions, we welcome everyone to join the conversation and share their perspectives. Come for the philosophy, stay for the community.

This month's discussion will be about happiness: what is it, what makes you happy, and how can we focus on the positive and joyful things in life?
