Our core mission is to connect to, learn from, and collaborate with like-minded people interested in building wealth and creating impact through real estate.

How it works
We meet once a month, 12 months a year, on the same day, week, and time of the month. Each month we cover a different investing topic in the Lifecycle of an Investor—ranging from wholesaling to rehabbing to becoming a bank through private lending.
Our meetings are not sales pitches. They are opportunities for us to dive deep into a real estate topic, connect with local experts in our marketplace, and build long-term relationships with other doers and deal-makers.

Your GRID Leadership
GRID Kansas City is led by Brad Kanouse, Virginia Franzese, and Matt Cochran.
Brad Kanouse originally hails from the Dallas–Fort Worth area and relocated to Kansas City in 2004 to pursue graduate studies at the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
With a background in technical direction and a master’s degree, Brad spent years managing complex productions and collaborating with diverse teams at organizations including the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Houston Grand Opera, and the Lyric Opera of Kansas City.
In 2015, Brad and his wife returned to Kansas City to start their family. Now living in Independence with their two energetic boys, Brad found a natural transition into real estate by combining his experience managing complex projects with his passion for construction, home improvement, and real estate investing.
Brad serves as the Director of Investor Services with the breeze Real Estate Team, where he specializes in working with real estate investors both locally and across the country. Leveraging his project management background, construction knowledge, and investment insight, he helps clients identify opportunities, analyze deals, and build successful real estate portfolios.
Brad is passionate about helping clients navigate the real estate process with confidence—whether they’re searching for their forever home, selling a property, or expanding their investment holdings. Outside of work, he enjoys hockey, baseball, and football, along with woodworking, home construction projects, cooking, working out, and relaxing around a fire with family and friends.
Virginia is the founder of breeze REAL ESTATE, which she launched in 2014 with a clear vision. To build a life and business rooted in intention. Not just for herself, but for her family, her team, and the community she serves.
Her work is grounded in presence and purpose. She believes real estate is not just about transactions. It is about helping people move through different stages of life with clarity, connection, and confidence.
Through breeze, Virginia has created an environment where agents are mentored to live and work by design. To build meaningful relationships. To serve at a high level. And to grow both personally and professionally.
She also works closely with clients and investors, helping them build wealth through buying, selling, and investing in real estate, all while staying intentional about the life they are creating along the way.
Virginia brings a unique perspective to leadership. One that values curiosity, authenticity, and slowing down enough to be fully present. She believes that when people live and lead from that place, something powerful happens.
Outside of business, Virginia is a mom to Carter, Olly, and Sarah, a breathwork facilitator, and someone who finds clarity in the mountains. Whether skiing, fishing, or simply taking time to slow down and reflect.
Her ability to lead with intention, build strong community, and help others grow makes her an incredible addition to the GRID Leadership Network and a perfect complement to the Kansas City market.
Matt Cochran is a proud Kansas City native who has spent more than 20 years helping families, homeowners, and investors navigate the lending process with confidence.
Known for his relationship-first approach, Matt takes the time to understand each client's goals and create customized lending solutions that fit their unique situation.
His focus on service, education, and attention to detail has helped countless people achieve their homeownership and investment goals.
What makes Matt such a great addition to the GRID Leadership Network is his passion for helping people succeed. He believes in building genuine relationships, creating meaningful connections, and serving others at a high level.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and exploring new places through travel.
