What we’re about
Welcome to Grief Support with Death Doula of the Valley
We're so glad you're here. The name of our club is Death Doula of the Valley, and I am a Death Doula! Our little club meets at a library once or twice a month, depending on availability. We do this to allow the club to remain free an accessible to everyone.
Every meeting we will go around, and talk/share based on a set theme and everyone will receive some take home materials on what they can do to help manage their grief at home. I also offer one on one death doula services if anyone needs it, however this is separate and can be discussed one on one.
This group was created as a compassionate space for anyone navigating the deep and often complex emotions of grief. Whether your loss is recent or something you've carried for years, you don’t have to go through it alone. You can even be supporting someone who is going through loss, or just curious about what being a death doula is like.
Our gatherings are here to offer comfort, connection, and understanding. Each meetup is centered around just having fun in a space where it's okay to talk about death, those you've lost and where random crying is okay. It's also a space where it's okay to be happy, as grief is complex.
Each meetup also includes printed information to help you explore ways to cope with grief at home, along with open time for sharing, support, and healing together. You will be given a binder where you can add your materials. You will notice that slowly your binder will grow and be filled with tools on how to cope, grieve and be healed. You’re invited to speak from the heart—or simply listen and be present.
There will also be opportunities to gain further, deeper insight as we grow.
Led by our experienced death doula, this group is a place to:
💙 Share your story at your own pace and have fun
💙 Learn tools to help you cope and heal
💙 Connect with others who understand
💙 Receive guidance and emotional support
💙 Discover hope, even in the midst of sorrow
Wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome here. We honor your grief, your love, and your healing.
