---------------
This grief session is for anyone experiencing loss or life transitions, and for anyone carrying any type of regret or guilt related to any kind of loss or grief.
After loss, many of us carry thoughts that replay again and again:
- I should have been there (more).
- I didn’t do enough.
- What if I have handled things differently?
- It’s my fault.
- I could have or should have shown them (or myself) more appreciation.
- I should have made better choices.
These moments of guilt and regret can feel heavy and isolating. And they often show up unexpectedly and affect daily life.
In this educational and supportive session you’ll take a practical, reflective look at these emotions.
What you will do:
- Explore common forms of guilt and regret that arise after loss, including choices, words left unsaid, missed opportunities, and how you’ve coped since.
- Reflect on your guilt and regret through guided exercises.
- Share and listen in group discussions and conversations throughout the session, creating space for personal stories, insights, and connection.
- Identify practical ways to respond when guilt or regret arise, including noticing patterns and identifying small adjustments in daily life.
Session structure:
- 60-minute main session: Combination of sharing, discussion, and practical exercises.
- Optional 15-minute post-workshop discussion: For those who wish to stay longer for questions, reflections, or further connection.
Before the workshop, you’ll receive links to two short videos on guilt and regret: an preparation to help you enter the session with reflection already in motion.
Important notice:
This workshop is educational and supportive and is not a substitute for therapy. If you experience severe distress, please contact your healthcare provider or an emergency hotline.
This workshop is not suitable for people in acute psychological situations. If you are unsure whether this workshop is appropriate for you, please contact me directly.
I'm looking forward to exploring these complex topics with you!
Warmly,
Elena
