Group is a free peer-facilitated support group to share our experiences, chat and help each other thru our own individual grief journeys and experiences in a welcoming, no-judgemental & non-religious group friendly setting. We are not mental health professionals, but just people navigating our own grief journeys, and looking to just be present for others grieving like ourselves.

IMPORTANT: All the private groups are all inclusive, non-religious, and all welcoming compassionate communities of people grieving helping each other thru our journeys. AT NO TIME, any negative comment about anyone, or anything in the groups is allowed, and anyone not respecting this mutual respect rule of membership - will be removed immediately and banned from all groups. Open virtual peer-led grief support groups are not for everyone and if they are not for you - no problem, please log off the groups. All the groups are very compassionate spaces, and we need to keep them like that for all. Thank you.

Our meetings are currently via the free Zoom video, and as social distancing restrictions are eased - we hope to have small in person gatherings.

Even if you have not used Zoom Video before, we will provide links to simple short "How To Use" zoom YouTube videos for non-technical folks - on each event listing so you can review and practice prior to your meeting.

This is not a group to provide any type of advice, but a group to share, listen and just be there for ourselves and our neighbors in a relaxed virtual setting.

ALL INCLUSIVE, NON-RELIGIOUS, ALL WELCOMING: All are welcome and we strongly appreciate the importance of diversity; including differences in age, sex, race, ethnicity, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education and political perspective.

    The "Grief Education" Petition
    Video (55 Seconds):
    https://youtu.be/DYXxIko-eng

"Help us ALL to be better prepared for the loss of a loved one, please take 1 minute to sign, share and post

    the "Grief Education" petition
calling for making Grief Education a graduation requirement.

In over 500 virtual grief support groups conducted by the public non-profit MyGriefAngels.org since the start of the Covid pandemic and in online research from thousands grieving losses pre-covid, the non-profit found that the majority of group participants and survey respondents felt they were totally unprepared for the loss of their loved ones and the painful grief that followed.

The number #1 suggestion made by the majority of group participants and survey respondents was that:

    "We need our schools
    to do more
    to prepare us
    for what will be
one of the biggest challenges of our lives -
the loss of a loved one"

While our schools already provide education on subjects like sex education, financial education, and others - the need for a graduation requirement of a national course on "GRIEF and the Grieving Process" at a post-pandemic time when millions of families are dealing with the loss of loved ones is now critical.

The need has special urgency in our low income communities where majority of families lack the resources or access to grief support and mental health care professionals.

A GRIEF Education course will never take away the pain any of us or our family members will experience when facing the loss of a loved one, but as the group participants and survey respondents suggest - Grief Education will provide us with research and facts-based tools so we graduate with at the very least being knowledgeable of a part of our lives that we will ALL experience; regardless of our age, race, national origin, gender, gender identity, disability, education, income, religion, geographic location or political beliefs."
