The mission of Strixhaven University is to discover and preserve magical knowledge, to disseminate that knowledge from one generation to the next, to promote free and open study of magic in all its forms, and to enhance the lives of people throughout the world through the use of magic.
—Strixhaven mission statement

Study at Strixhaven isn’t about learning to be a wizard but about learning to be a historian, an artist, an orator, a scientist, or some other profession—while using magic to enhance one’s studies. The university’s understanding of magic is expansive. Characters of any class can study at Strixhaven, whether they’re full-fledged spellcasters like wizards, clerics, and druids; they manage a spell or two thanks to a subclass or feat; or they manifest magical abilities that aren’t even spells.

DM: Patty

• What we'll do
We will run an adventure for D&D characters with this year's Adventure League rules available at Wizards of the Coast's website.

I will run the same adventure two weeks in a row and the waitlist on Session 1 will get priority for Session 2. Session one is called "Premier" and Session 2 is "Rerun."

• What you need
Although Strixhaven is not included in DDAL, we will run an adventure for D&D characters with the new Adventure League rules. In creating your characters, you can use whichever source you want from the list below. The only caveat is there is still no cross-over from Eberron or Ravenloft: Misthunters campaigns to the Forgotten Realms.

You can use non-optional rules found in the Player’s Handbook and all the books listed below. If a rule has been reprinted in a newer resource, you must always use the latest printing.
• Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes (Chapters 1 through 5, only) (MTF)
• Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide (SCAG)
• Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything (TCE)
• Volo’s Guide to Monsters (VGM)
• Xanathar’s Guide to Everything (XGE)
• Any races or backgrounds in official adventures published by Wizards of the Coast

You may also use the rules found in the following digital publications:
• Elemental Evil Player’s Companion (EEPC)
• Locathah Rising (LR)
• The Tortle Package (TP)

Additionally, the following variant or optional rules are available:
• Blessed of Corellon (MTF)
• Chapter 6: Customization Options (PH)
• Customizing Your Origin (TCE)
• Half-Elf and Tiefling Variants (SCAG/MTF)
• Option: Human Languages (SCAG)
• Variant Human Traits (PH)

• What you need
A tier-appropriate character (DnDBeyond is great for building characters), a pen/paper or electronic device for notes, and your imagination!

• Important to know

There is a $5 fee to play and you can pay in the store via cash or card prior to game start. Please be sure to check-in at the counter before heading to seating.

If you have any questions please leave a comment below, or send a private message to me on Meetup (Patty).
