Come join us for laid back fun as we run/walk/hike around the wilds of Connecticut and relax afterward with beer in hand (assuming we’re over 21). We run every other Saturday and Friday nights during Daylight Savings time.
The Hash House Harriers is an international club that has been around for over 80 years! We are one of several hashes in Connecticut, and the most recent incarnation of the Groton chapter. The goals of the Hash from the 1938 charter of the Kuala Lumpur Hash House Harriers
-To promote physical fitness
-To get rid of weekend hangovers
-To acquire a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer -To persuade the older members that they are not as old as they feel.
What is CranksGiving? It's a food drive completely done on your bicycle! What you need to bring:
-Your bike of choice
-Dressing in costumes encouraged!
-$$$ for food purchases
THERE IS NO COST TO PARTICIPATE!
At registration, you will be provided a list of items that is needed for a Thanksgiving meal which will be donated to the the Old Saybrook Food Pantry. It is up to you how much you want to buy and donate.
Check in for the event is between 10:00 am-10:30 am.
Pre-ride meeting is at 10:45 am.
Bikers off at 11:00 am and back by 1 pm.
Distance: Amount of mileage is up to you! Two suggested routes will be provided. Longer route is 10 miles, shorter route is 5 miles.
If you do not or can not participate in the biking event, we do need some volunteers on event day. Please contact Innuendo, Fudge Packer or Wet Spot.
