Simply Tuning-in Open Choir!

My name is Jared from the US and I'm a voice teacher, professional classical singer, and voice actor here in Berlin. Through my group, simply tuning-in, I have been organizing singing events such as classes, open mic nights, and concerts for the singing group for several years now.

The group now is primarily concentrated on singing together as a choir (Sorry fans of the group lessons!). We have 2 choir ensembles, an advanced group that is only available to existing members of the group (which anyone can join), and this event, our open choir.

Anyone can join, and everyone is welcome. You don't need any previous singing experience, or know how to read musical notation. Just bring your enthusiasm for music, and it will be plenty!

The rehearsals are led in English, but it is important to me that German speaking people feel welcome and questions in German are encouraged. I hope that this group will help connect the German and English speaking corners of Berlin.

We also have no mandatory attendance policy. Feel free to hop in for one rehearsal if you like. I adjust the rehearsals to fit the attendance level of the people who come. The more regulars we have, the more challenging the music can be!

I will print and bring sheet music for the songs, so go ahead and just come, you don't need to bring anything!

There is a recommended donation of 10 euros for the rehearsal for those that can donate. Having people that are interested and enthusiastic is the most important thing for me, and if money is an issue, please come. It truly is a donation. Cash, paypal or a bank transfer is all possible for each rehearsal. That information will be at the meetup.
