Welcome to our HSP UK Meetup :). You may be thinking of joining us because you feel you've always been a bit 'different'. Maybe things affect you more than they appear to affect others and you have a sensitive nervous system? Perhaps you'd like to meet up with some people who are like you, not different from you? Have a look at Dr Elaine Aron's website at HSPERSON.COM and see some of the traits that make up sensitivity. Highly Sensitive People tend to be careful of feeling too overwhelmed or overstimulated by the usual social chatter, noise and expectations of social interaction which is why we create the chance to meet others in a relaxed setting, it is for fun and info. Come along and stay for the whole time or leave early if you need to - we do understand. It's not a 'therapy group' but you may find it supportive being around others who are taking a positive approach to their sensitivity and meeting similar challenges to you. We hold quite a few Meetups in Hampshire SP11 and Cornwall TR19, but also offer meetups from time to time in other parts of the UK and online.
I look forward to meeting you and hope that you will enjoy meeting more people like yourself. We try to meet in locations that match our sensitive nature. We have now changed our membership requirement and removed the annual fee for membership and instead have increased the fee for each attendance at any event. Simply pay for what you attend. A National Weekend HSP Event May 2026 - Somerset
AMMERDOWN CENTRE, BA3 5SW, Radstock, Bath, GBNEWS! We have found a venue for this residential event and it will take place 29-31 May 2026 at Ammerdown Retreat Centre in Somerset, 11 miles from Bath, 7 miles from Frome, 20 miles from Bristol airport. Yay! MORE NEWS! Elaine Aron PhD will be one of our speakers at this HSP event, we are so delighted, as you might imagine :). We have seven speakers on different topics of interest to HSPs lined up so far, as well as experiential opportunities to learn more about yourself. We are anticipating no more than approx 35 participants, so please, once the information is available, book in a timely way to ensure you have a spot. The title of the May event is ‘The journey towards HSP maturity: the re-emerging role for sensitive people in a world that needs them’ - it feels the right time to bring together highly sensitive people (as defined by Elaine Aron PhD) in one place and one time in the UK, not just to bring more awareness about the trait of high sensitivity, but for focus on what sensitive maturity and sensitive living looks like as we journey together, whether we are new to the trait or with years of exploration under our belts.
There will be talks from speakers with extensive experience both in their own field and that of sensitivity, plus opportunities for self exploration and understanding and of course, a chance to get to know other participants and hopefully make some friends in a setting that feels relaxed and HSP friendly.
