In a culture that moves really fast most of the time, it can be hard to slow down and process through an experience. Time does have a way of healing wounds, but when we experience grief and loss, it’s really helpful to our mind and body to take some time to think through what we have lost (or been forced to let go of).
Everyone has experienced loss in some way, and sometimes we go through periods of repeated loss. The most common loss that comes to mind is the death of a loved one. However, we can also grieve the loss of health, time, possessions, a job…anything that really meant a lot to us. There are many different ways to process a loss. Talking about it with friends is one of the best ways to release some of the emotions wrapped up in the loss.
I recently returned from a women’s retreat where the theme of the weekend was grief and loss. Originally thinking this would be incredibly hard, the weekend helped me in more ways than I ever expected. Join us as we discuss how to walk through grief and loss.
