Forest Bathing (Finding Calm in Nature)
Where: Mesas de pic-nic
(MeetUp will not allow me to put in our precise meeting location, so PLEASE follow the above link to find our meeting point!)
When: Sunday, February 23rd; 1:00pm-3:00pm
Come enjoy an afternoon exploration of Forest Bathing with Nature-based therapeutic coach, Kayla Nickells. Forest bathing walks are designed to open the door to the healing properties of nature and finding peace and calm within. Unlike a typical nature walk or hike, forest bathing focuses on slowing down, tuning into your senses and deepening your connection with the natural world through all of your senses. We accomplish this through a series of simple, sensory “invitations.”
Participants should come prepared for the following:
- Long pants are recommended for off-trail travel
- Appropriate clothing for the weather and warmth for slow travel or periods of sitting
- Journal and pen if desired
- You might bring a light weight camp stool, yoga mat or sit-upon as we may sit quietly for 10–15 minutes at a time.
- Water and snacks if needed.
This event is suitable for all adult persons and abilities, however may require participants to sit quiet and still for longer periods of time.
I look forward to our time in the forest together!
