Tech entrepreneurship in India is growing exponentially, however one of the biggest challenges is building global businesses based on technology that is invented and incubated in India and then launched to disrupt the global economy.

Despite world class universities like IISc, and the global MNCs who have made cities like Bangalore a hub for world class R&D, technologies innovation in the Indian eco-system have not led to many global businesses, unlike Silicon Valley, Israel and the UK.

Deep technologies are based on invention and IP creation, as an originator of a new product or process that creates new market opportunities across industries with different applications of the same underlying technology. The role and impact of deep technologies that are based on a combination of unique hardware and/or software such as IoT, Drones, AR/VR, fabless semiconductors, robotics etc. in society, and business will be transformational across industry verticals.
