Never been to this place but Bob (wolfman) say's it's good and the web site makes it sound great so I thought I would give it a try. This place ain't cheap and I am so this will be the only time this year I go here. We don't do many evening rides so if you like them you may want to ride this one.
Check out their website at http://www.holmanvalleysteakhouse.com
Route from Flying J: 359 north to 1458, 1458 to San Felipe, turn right on Sealy rd., Sealy rd. turns into 1094, 1094 to 2187, left on 2187 to 949, left on 949 to I-10 feeder, right on I-10 feeder to old 90, ride through Columbus on old 90 all the way to Weimer, turn right on 155 and ride to Holman. Stop & Eat.
Home route: West on 1965 to 1383, left on 1383 to old 90, left to Wiemer, go back on I-10. We should be back to Katy before dark.
If anyone is interested, our route home will take us right past Piano Bridge rd. where the old Piano Bridge and one of the Painted Churches are located. The bridge ain't much to write home about but the church is quite nice.
If you've never seen any of the Painted Churches stopping there after dinner won't add much extra time to the ride. I've been there so it's up to y'all.
