About us
✅Why this discussion group?
I've originally created it to read more fiction in English when I got fed up with reading research papers for my thesis. Being part of a community has always been fun, just like another community I'm hosting - on movies, this bookclub is a hub for everyone who loves learning, challenging their ideas, and reading+discussing books in English, all the while connecting with people from different backgrounds and practicing being sassy in English. Some quirky vocab along the way is a free bonus from me 😉
✅ How does it work? When do we meeting and how long are the sessions?
I propose a book or several books to choose from (in our telegram chat we vote together). Then, I give one month for you to read it and then we meet online to chat about it. I prep some slides with questions and vocab focus :)
Our meetings take place on Sundays, at NOON, Barcelona time zone (GMT +2).
Meetings last around 60-80 minutes.
✅ Where: we meet in Discord, on a special server (channel) I've created for this club🤪 But please join Telegram chat, because all the details are there. https://t.me/+o9Qp29AUBfA2YzRi
✅ How much is it?
The membership is free 👌 The community functions on a sheer interest of all the active members and a founder (me) 😊 You are encouraged to support it sharing the information about these communities with your friends/colleagues or students!🌈
IMPORTANT!
All the communicaton / meeting details/ polls / discussions etc. happen in our Telegram chat! So please, join, see you there!!!

·OnlineOnline📚✨Hello to all the bookworms here 😉 Summer is finally gone and we’re back to our shared reads and discussions!
This time we will discuss East of Eden by J. Steinbeck, which conveniently has its adaptation coming out on Netflix! So we will probably be reading and watching it after as a bonus! ✨😍 Steinbeck once said that all of his books lead up to East of Eden — I guess we’ll have to check and see if it’s as great as it is hyped up to be!You've got time to read it until November 22nd! We're meeting in zoom at noon (12) Barcelona time (the link will be in our telegram chat)
Start now -- the shared file is in our telegram group!
Enjoy!❗ Remember, to participate in the meeting you should join our Reading BEYOND community on telegram - all the links, updates, polls and material are shared there as our main space of communication!
Also, it's a great place to maintain the habit of reading and connect with fellow readers.See you in zoom at 12 (CET time), as always ☺️

MAIN INFO:
I'm an English coach and teacher for adults and a life-long learner, and I host online bookclub and movie discussions for those who love consuming things mindfully (watching and reading), talking about thought-provoking topics, challenging their assumptions and learning something new. All the while using your English, of course!💬🙌 To be able to participate and enjoy the experience it's nice to at least have intermediate level (B2) of English, although the discussions are for everyone who wants to improve their fluency, activate working vocabulary and boost reading, listening and speaking skills! We meet monthly on Sundays at noon (Barcelona time) online, to chat about a book/ movie / mini-series I propose in advance in our telegram chats. The meeting in Zoom usually lasts around 90-120 minutes, and we continue to chat about it in Telegram several weeks afterwards!
To get updates on the details and connect with like-minded people, please join my Reading and Watching BEYOND communities in telegramPeople who come are usually open-minded and fun, some are language nerds or even teachers from all over the world 😊
