Implementing Best Practices in Software Using the GSF Standards

Details

A great talk this month!

Nour Rteil is the Lead Application Developer at Techbuyer and will explore the process of measuring and reducing the carbon emissions generated by their in-house software. Using open-source tools like WattTime API and CO2.js, along with several others, we will demonstrate how we have tracked the emissions and made data-driven decisions to minimise our software’s digital footprint. Additionally, we will discuss how we integrated these results to promote greener software development practices within our team.

We are delighted this event will be part of the global Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Sustainability Week, an annual event that is organized by the CNCF Technical Advisory Group for Environmental Sustainability (TAG ENV) in collaboration with the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). The main goal of the event is to promote environmental sustainability in the cloud native industry and open source space.

Nour will be joining us remotely from Paris, so we're super lucky.
