Images are one of the largest contributors to web page download sizes, and drivers of energy consumption on display screens. What if we could find a way to send low-res images over the internet, and have the browser scale them up client-side? This is what Oli Winks has been investigating with his work on super resolution (also known as super scaling).

Come and learn how he trained a neural network and integrated it with a browser, and see if this innovation could make web pages of the future faster and more efficient.
