Experiments in decarbonising digital services

As digital professionals we're learning more and more about why we need to reduce the environmental impact of our digital products & services.

The government design principles urge us to 'minimise our environmental impact' and the Defra service standard tells us to 'deliver a sustainable service' but where the hell do you even start?!

Awareness is growing and people want to do the right thing but there's a real lack of tools to help people get started.

To try and push things forwards, James has been working on some tools and frameworks for digital professions to use on real life projects.

In this talk James will share some experimental ideas to help people to decarbonise their user journeys approach, apply the climate stripes to digital services and to use some of Bucky Fuller's amazing thinking to help make digital services more sustainable.

James will be joining us remotely.
