Green Software Foundation Oslo - October Meetup [In-Person]

Welcome to the Green Software Foundation Oslo October meetup which will be our very first event and official group launch! 🥳 October meetup is also organized to support the CNCF Cloud Native Sustainability Week which is a global event where community organizes local meetings around the theme of cloud native sustainability.

16:30 - 17:00 - Mingling and food. As an environmentally conscious meetup group we will be providing vegetarian food by default (with vegan-friendly options). If you would like a non-vegeterian food option, please let us know!

17:00 - 17:05 - Meetup start and introduction

17:05 - 17:40 - Getting started with green software and cloud native sustainability by Kristina Devochko, Principal Cloud Engineer @Amesto Fortytwo. In this session, Kristina will provide an introduction to Green Software Oslo meetup group, its vision and plans, and how you can contribute. In addition Kristina will touch upon the world of green software and cloud native sustainability, why it is important, how the current green tech landscape looks like and how you can start (or continue) your tech sustainability journey.

17:40 - 17:45 - Break

17:45 - 18:30 - Ocean Data Platform - building software that aims to solve environmental challenges by Thomas Li Fredriksen, Lead Solution Architect at HUB Ocean. In this session Thomas will talk about HUB Ocean, its mission and how they're building Ocean Data Platform to solve environmental challenges.
