Oh, It's On Like Donkey Kong. And this time, we're playing games for a worthy cause - AGAIN! Our goal is to raise 100 toys to donate to the Durham Rescue mission on Christmas Eve - I hope you can help us!

PLEASE HELP ME ACHIEVE MY GOAL OF DONATING 100 TOYS TO THE MISSION!

For entry into this event, we ask you to pay $1 towards our Board Game fund and bring one toy for a child in need per person. The toy can be of any value, we ask that you give as much as you can :) Please take note that is you don't bring a food donation, then we will charge $5 admission into this event and the proceeds will be donated to our charity.

All toy and monetary donations will be given to the Durham Rescue Mission, where we will be volunteering on Christmas Eve at their Toy Drive.

THE DETAILS

What Can I Expect?
Game Night will be taking place at Tomato Jakes in Durham starting at 9 PM. This event will be open to everyone - both singles and couples alike. When you arrive you will check in, give us your toy donation (or $5 if you forget to bring a donation) and grab a free goodie bag. From there, you can opt to choose a board game from our "Board Game Library" or walk around and join a game in progress.

I anticipate over 85 people attending this event and it going on waaaaaaaaaay into the night, so arrive as soon as you can to reserve a seat (and a game). We will probably end the event around 1:00 AM.

Based on past experiences, the following toys are in high demand by kids, so the following toy donations would be greatly appreciated!

Telestrations is the visual equivalent of the classic school-yard game "telephone." It's a fun-filled sketching game in which everyone's attempts at "art" can turn hilarious. The game starts with a secret word that is passed from player to player. As the word is sketched, interpreted, and then sketched again, it undergoes a visual transformation that will surprise and delight everyone.

Can I Bring My Own Board Game to Play?
Yes! In fact, the more games the merrier!

Does Tomato Jakes Serve Alcohol?
Yes! They serve beer and wine, but please remember to drink responsibly!

Is this a Singles Event?No, this is a social event that is open to everyone. Since there will be singles attending, Master Dater Speedating (http://www.mymasterdater.com/) will be distributing Mardi Gras beads to all the singles in the room - just a fun way to meet fellow singles ;-)

This event is open to all people - both singles and couples alike. It's purpose is to be a fun social event so you can meet new people and make new friends! Please note that there will be a $5 door cover if you fail to bring a donation to this event.
