This is a small-group, hands-on workshop designed specifically for beginners — no prior Python experience needed. By the end of the 3 hours, you'll have written real code, loaded real market data, and built your first algorithmic trading strategy from scratch.

I am doing this workshop since many people have asked me for a step by step resource for learning python for trading.

Most coding courses are either too theoretical or taught by engineers with no trading background. This workshop is taught by someone who has been actively trading since 2007 and a Master's in Mathematical Finance, and has taught data science/python at Stanford GSB, UChicago, UCSB, and UCI.

You're not learning Python in a vacuum. Every concept is taught through the lens of trading — so it actually sticks.

FAQ

Do I need any coding experience? None at all. We start from absolute zero.

What do I need to bring?
Just your laptop that can connect to internet. All the coding platform and API keys will be provided during the workshop

Will there be materials to take home?
Yes — you'll leave with all the code we write together,
plus a cheat sheet to keep building on your own.

What if I fall behind during the session? The small group size exists precisely for this reason. No one gets left behind.

Will I bring a algo trading expert?
No, of course not. This will launch you in the direction of automating your strategies in python. And also how to use AI assisted tools to develop your own python strategies.

Can't I learn this on my own?
Yes you definitely can. And I recommend in all my events to self learn and be more curious and have perseverance. This is more for people who need extra hand holding and want to smoothen the learning curve. Most people I see failing to start is because they hit some roadblock or did not know a solution existed for that specific problem.
