Williamsburg Hipster Hipstorical Walking Tour

Join me for a “recent history” historical walking tour!

The Brooklyn Brewery is moving to a new location after 30 years in its current location! The Williamsburg Barcade is closing after 22 years in its current location!

We will meet at Brooklyn Brewery and hang out! You can get a drink and/or a snack. At around 6:30, we will walk to see a few Brooklyn Brewery related historical sites, and perhaps some other landmarks! We will end our tour at Barcade (a bar! with arcade games! This was once a novel idea!)

What to Expect
Meet us inside the brewery at the tables and benches. At 6:30 we will go for about 30 minutes of walking, and then hang out again indoors!
Wear comfy shoes! The total distance is approximately 1 mile.

Historical Disclaimer
I am not a historian, or an expert in the neighborhood! You are welcome to contribute to the walking tour by sharing fun facts, places you've been in the neighborhood, etc. While Williamsburg has a long and storied history, this historical tour will be focused on recent history, the past 30 years! BUT if you want to point out something older, that would be welcomed.

Cost
This event is free to attend, but please plan to purchase something from both stops on our tour to support the venue!

Rain Policy
If it rains, we will skip the historical stops in-between the 2 locations and will walk briskly between the 2. Please bring an umbrella.
