Why are you joining Getting Things Done DC Group's meetup?

I'd like to be a part of a group to have support with the campaign I am launching against procrastination. I bought and read David Allen's GTD book in 2001. I've read the book through several times but I have not yet started to put it into action. The first step of getting my buckets iNtegrated has been daunting. Many years after buying the book, I was diagnosed with ADD. The medication for ADD makes it easier to get organized than it was before. I am happy to find a group that finds the book GTD as interesting as I did and I would love to participate.

What is your experience with Getting Things Done(R) and David Allen's personal productivity writing and other products?

As I said above, I bought and read the book as early as 2001. Even though I've not implemented the entire program, I have tried things like asking "What is the next action." To a certain extent, I've organized my things into the Projects list, Project support material, calendar actions/information, Next Actions lists, "waiting for" list, Reference material and Someday/maybe list. In 2009, a colleague took a course on a Microsoft Outlook way of organizing which looked very much like GTD and he and I discussed many things about it.

How did you find out about our GTDDC Meetup?

I googled the keywords: "procrastination group Arlington"
