It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to our third film on examining 'reality' -- through multiple perspectives.
Leave No Trace (2018) "reframes how we view the world by highlighting the quiet humanity in marginalized lives and the deep, often invisible, scars of PTSD." "(It) is a wonder to behold, a hard watch made even harder by the fact that it really happened. It is a truly American story of love, survival and acceptance in our country's often forgotten frontier." "While the film alludes to larger societal problems such as America's treatment of veterans, and inflexible, societal views about what it means to be a caregiver, the primary narrative focus is (about) two people slowly discovering the best way to care for both themselves and each other."
Leave No Trace received 92 nominations and 18 film awards, including from the Women's Film Critics Circle and from film festivals in London, Dublin, Taormina and more.
There may be some further resources shared just before our discussion takes place. Happy viewing, and see you in Guelph!
