You have been invited to dinner at Blackthorn Manor.
No one knows why.
The sprawling estate has stood abandoned for nearly thirty years, ever since Lord Blackthorn and every guest attending his final masquerade were found dead inside.
The murders were never solved.
Tonight, for the first time since that night, the windows are glowing again.
Six invitations have been delivered. The fireplaces are burning. Dinner has been prepared. Music drifts from an empty ballroom.
And at exactly midnight, the front doors lock themselves.
Then the host is murdered.
In a room where every person present had the opportunity to do it.
The party must search the mansion, question its surviving guests, uncover hidden passages, examine evidence, and determine who—or what—is responsible before another body appears.
But Blackthorn Manor has its own ideas about how the investigation should proceed.
Portraits whisper when no one is watching.
Blood appears on walls before the murders occur.
The dead sometimes return long enough to answer a question.
And certain rooms seem determined to recreate events from the manor’s final night.
As the investigation deepens, the party discovers that the murders thirty years ago and the murder happening tonight are connected.
Someone inside the mansion knows what happened.
Someone is lying.
And before the night is over, the adventurers may discover that the killer doesn't necessarily have to be alive.

### A Murder Mystery Where Your Investigation Matters

This adventure will put much more emphasis on investigation, roleplay, deduction, and player decisions than a traditional dungeon crawl.
The mansion will contain multiple suspects, conflicting stories, physical evidence, supernatural clues, hidden rooms, and secrets that can completely change how players understand the crime.
Accusing the wrong person can have consequences.
Ignoring the supernatural evidence can be worse.
And killing everything in the house definitely won't solve the mystery.
Probably.

### The Forge Premier Experience

For Halloween, Blackthorn Manor will become a full Forge Premier private-room experience.
Expect:

• Suspect portraits and information cards
• Handwritten letters and journals
• Physical murder evidence and clues
• Keys that unlock actual discoveries during play
• Secret information given individually to players
• Hidden passages and shifting rooms
• Ghostly encounters
• Dangerous combat when the investigation goes wrong
• A final accusation and reveal shaped by what the party actually discovers

Pre-generated Level 8 characters will be provided, with each character having a reason for accepting the invitation—and potentially a secret they may not want the rest of the party to learn.
