The Guild of Artists Study and Social is a space for artists of all backgrounds and skill levels to move away from the solitary nature of creating and toward a more collaborative experience. We believe that art is better when it is discussed and shared, so our gatherings focus on the intersection of intentional study and casual conversation. Whether you are working on a specific technique, trying to break through a creative block, or just want to sit with other people who are passionate about making things, you are welcome here.
Our meetings are fairly low-key by design. We usually spend part of our time sharing what we are currently working on or discussing a particular artistic challenge, followed by time to just be in each other's company while we work. There is no formal instruction or pressure to produce a masterpiece; rather, we aim to build a community where we can learn from one another's processes and provide a bit of encouragement.
