** Weather update / Timetable**

It is looking like the weather outlook has been updated for today (if its accurate, instead of rain its now 2 hours of heavy stuff and thunder from around 11am).

The weather report isnt always right so will wait and see.

I have adjusted my own arrival time to 9am, because that would give me a couple of hours to look around before the weather comes in but that is totally up to you.

Final reminder, this place is very slippery and muddy, bring appropriate shoes, as well as spare in your car for going home in :)

🎟️ Tickets are £15.50 if booked in advance

This will be my third year attending – and it never gets old.

I know it is a little outside the usual Guildford area for events, but this one is well worth it.

***

It’s an insane mix of helicopters landing, people in full historical and modern military gear, and enough tanks to make your jaw drop. There are live demos in purpose-built arenas – including one where tanks can literally drive through an assault pit if they’re feeling brave.
One of my favourite parts? The forest camps. Full-sized, fully staffed military camps from different countries – some with 30+ re-enactors – all set up in the woods. Everyone’s in character, and it’s a great vibe.
If that’s not enough:
– There’s a chance of helicopter walkarounds – last year we got to explore a Chinook.
– You can do a tank ride (costs around £10 extra – not my thing, but very popular).
– The shops sell everything from uniforms and gear to military memorabilia.
– Don’t miss the giant naval guns going off in the morning – they’re loud, and they literally make the air round you rock.

Official Event Description:
Set over five fields with 750+ vehicles and top-tier British, German, Russian and American re-enactment groups. Covering WWII through to the modern day, it’s a deep dive into military history.
The arena runs from 10:00–16:30 daily with everything from light vehicle parades to battle re-enactments, car crushing, and naval gun firing.
Static helicopter displays include the Chinook, Apache, Alouette, Gazelle, Wasp, Whirlwind, Wessex, and Sea King (all subject to operational commitments).

Meetup Details:
🕙 I’ll be there from 10:00 until 14:00, treating it as an informal meetup – no pressure, just come find me if you're around - The show does go into the evening with a huge party with music and dancing in the tents.
📍 I’ll wait by the main entrance until 10:30, then head in.
📱 I’ll share my number with those who RSVP, so we can find each other on the day.

Important:
This place is big, and if it’s been raining, the main tracks get properly muddy – so bring decent footwear!

Let me know if you’re coming – hope to see you there.
