The Wharf has uneven grass paths which can be hard work in a wheelchair. There is access to the tearoom through the back door. There is no parking on site, but there is drop off.
Dapdune Wharf, in Guildford, is host to the most spectacular event on the River Wey. The Wey River Festival brings food and music, together for a wonderful day by the river. Don't miss the illuminated pageant at dusk.
The National Trust’s Dapdune Wharf joins the festival circuit for one day in September for the spectacular Wey River Festival. From 1100, you are invited to enjoy free entry to Dapdune, where you can browse local food and craft as well as information stalls for the RSPB, British Canoeing.
Pilgrim Morris of Guildford join us for the first time to showcase their entertaining dancing and provide opportunities to have a go at Morris dancing.
The highlight of the whole day is the illuminated pageant at dusk, with boats travelling from the centre of Guildford to Dapdune Wharf, brilliantly lit up with colourful lights and energised by the Croydon Steel Orchestra as they arrive at Dapdune Wharf.
The River Wey Festival takes place on Saturday 27th September from 1100 to 2030. Free entry to Dapdune Wharf. There is no parking at the Wharf although drop off is available. It is advisable to park in one of the many car parks in Guildford and come down to the Wharf on foot.
Part of “Heritages open days” during the month of September. Let’s all meet at 6:30pm for the illuminated pageant at dusk and at 8:30 the Drummond for a few drinks!
