Details

A brand-new festival promoting Guildford’s art culture hits the town this month – put together by a team of creative minds headed by residents Charlie Cluff and Lauren Gerrard and it promises to be a lively and colourful treat for the townsfolk with the aim being to firmly establish Guildford as a vibrant arts hub.

The Guildford Festival of the Arts aims to revitalises local arts spaces, connects new audiences to visual arts, and fosters community through shared cultural experiences. It supports emerging artists, engages businesses and the public, and aims to establish Guildford as a vibrant arts hub.

The Guildford Festival of the Arts Festival commences on the 25th September at 12.30pm on Tunsgate with a launch to be attended by the High Sheriff of Surrey and Mayor of Guildford and runs until the 28th of the month.

The venues taking part in the walking/stamp trail are all based within Guildford town centre, are within walking distance and they will always have something going on. Whether that’s a drop-in-drop-out workshop, an exhibition or something to just observe, you can turn up and get involved in one way or another. At each of these locations there will also be able to get a stamp on a stamp map (which can be collected along with a brochure during the festival) and on the completion of the stamp trail there is an opportunity to receive a free drink! Please note that although all venues on the trail will be open every day of the festival they have their own opening times so please double check when they will be open if there is something specific you would like to see.
