Wengen is a mountain village in the Bernese Oberland of central Switzerland. Located in the canton of Bern at an elevation of 1,274 m above sea level, it is part of the Jungfrau region and has approximately 1,300 year-round residents, which swells to 5,000 during summer and to 10,000 in the winter. Wengen hosts the classic Lauberhorn ski races of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in January. Longest run on world cup circuit.

The resort lies on a wind-protected sun terrace at the foot of the Jungfrau, 400 metres above the Lauterbrunnen valley at an altitude of 1274 m. The tradition-imbued, car-free holiday resort with magnificent views of the Jungfrau.

The Area walking pass covers all the cable cars of this region and trains , costs in region £280.00 which will also enable us to visit Lakes in valley also. But Local pass can also be bought ., all is on our door step.

Those who are not coming by car , can fly to Geneva Airport . where we will take the train outside , with straight connection to Interlaken . where we will change for a train to Lauterbrunnen . cost of Train is about £80 return , earlier this is booked the cheaper the price .

These can be booked through train Line .

Evening meals can be cooked in our accommodation , as there is self catering facilities , or we can eat local in the evening ,or in the various restaurants during the day , cater for about £20 per day on food on the mountains

This is depending on participants Budgets .
