We will be standing outside Seaford Station till 10.30
if any one wants lift i will be leaving from Guildlford station at 9.00 am . i have several space , a cost of £10 for each person towards petrol .
please only sign up if your used to walking Hills ..such north downs and can walk at 2.5 mph to for up to 5 hours ad this is long hike .

Whilst air show on
The walk will take us along Seaford Promenade, up Seaford Head after which we will enjoy panoramic views on our journey down to Cuckmere Haven.
Crossing the Cuckmere River, the Seven Sisters and Birling Gap before ascending to the iconic Beachy Head (which forms the back drop for the final scenes of the rock opera, Quadrophenia)
The walk ends with a dramatic descent into Eastbourne where we can enjoy some well deserved refreshments
Meetup point is Seaford Station at 10.30am
We will stop for a picnic break along the Seven Sisters so do bring a packed lunch and at least 1.5 litre of water to drink , will be pub stop , and tea and coffee can be bought at national trust restaurant , and Birling Gap
Walk pace: medium/at a steady 2.0 miles/hour and very hilly. Please ensure you wear proper walking boots/shoes. The route is also very exposed to the elements so come equipped as appropriate , If sunny hat will be required , sun cream
There are limited establishments along the way where we can stop for a drinks/comfort break.
Getting there:
Both Eastbourne & Seaford have regular train services from London
The nearest car park in Eastbourne is Trinity and there is plenty of free parking on the Seaford beachfront
The walk is linear Seaford to Eastbourne and there is a regular bus service between Seaford & Eastbourne (12X). Fare is about £3.40 cash/card single. If travelling from Eastbourne to Seaford at the beginning of the day ask the Bus driver for Seaford Library to get the correct fare and then alight there.

The walk is a group event with walk guidance only, no service is inferred or risk assumed. You will need to be of reasonable physical fitness to participate.
If the weather is poor RSVP "YES" members will be emailed notice of cancellation the night before. We do try to avoid cancellations.
