Guitars at Sunset Acoustic Jam

*** Moving the start time to 7:00 by popular request. Sunset is not until after 8:00 pm so this still gives us an hour before sundown and allows more time for people who are working to arrive. ***

This is a casual acoustic only meetup and is not limited to guitars. We have regular ukulele participants and have had banjos, violins, harmonica, singers, and even an autoharp join the jam! If you are not an instrumentalist but want to sing you are also welcome to join! Our goal is to make some music and have fun with it!

You will need to bring your music stand, stand light, song sheets, and instrument. There are typically plenty of chairs available!

Please bring paper copies of song sheets (chords & lyrics) that you would like the group to play if you can - enough copies to share - this is optional if you prefer to play along on songs other jammers bring. We take turns choosing/leading songs - you can lead or ask if someone else can lead the song of your choice, or pass - there is no pressure, we just want everyone to enjoy the jam! If you would prefer not to bring song sheets you are more than welcome to join and participate. We keep it casual and fun! Unfortunately the parking is not free. I use the WayToPark app rather than put my credit card in the machine. Please patronize the Snack Shack if you can! They have a bar as well as food and a gift shop and let us use the deck without charge!

If you want to attend but just listen and enjoy the sunset then please let me know directly or leave a comment on the meetup! If you are joining us to listen in you will want to sit as close as possible since we are outside and without amplification!

Finally (wow, this is getting long), if the weather looks iffy please check meetup to see if we decided to cancel. If we do I will send message through meetup to everyone who signed up in addition to the cancelation.
